Steady Midlands Voter Turnout Continues

Voter numbers are expected to increase as the evening continues.

Voter turnout in the local election is expected to increase into the evening as  people finish work.

Polls remain open until 10pm.

Turnout has been steady across the country since voting centres opened at 7am.

The average turnout in Offaly is 26.3%.

With the highest percentage of ballots coming from Crinkill at 31.5%.

In Laois, the turnout stands at 23%, Rathdowney leads the way in the O'Moore County at 29.5%.
