Storm Éowyn Causes Extensive Damage To Westmeath Mushroom Farm

Equipment and covers have been left unusable.


A Westmeath business has never seen damage before like what Storm Éowyn caused. 

Reilly Mushrooms lost around 12% of its stock following the impact of the storm on Friday. 

50 people gathered three silage trailers full of plastic and debris, all of which is now unusable, from covers and equipment blown away. 

Owner of the mushroom farm, Gerry Reilly says they are hoping to start repairs within the next month:
