The new €10 million development on the M7 in Laois will not be called The Queen's County Plaza.
Owner of Supermac's Pat McDonagh has confirmed it'll be called the Portlaoise Plaza, as previously announced.
A photo of a sign with the changed name appeared on the site, causing a stir on social media over the weekend.
However Mr. McDonagh has revealed that it was all an elaborate prank:
