A teenager has been arrested following a crash in Westmeath.
The single-vehicle collision occurred in the Lough Ennell area of Mullingar at about 10.30 on Monday morning.
A man in his 20s, who was a passenger in the car, was taken to Tallaght Hospital where he's currently in a critical condition.
The driver, a man in his late teens, was arrested at the scene for road traffic offences.
He has since been released without charge and a file is being prepared for the DPP.
