That's the view of Fianna Faíl Longford-Westmeath general election candidate Joe Flaherty.

He's seeking a second term following his election in 2020 - with 7,666 first preference votes.

Fianna Fáil is seeking to improve current housing grants - such as the Help to Buy scheme to aid first time buyers.
