Brian Stanley's eagerly awaited arrival the Laois count centre has proven controversial.
Both Brian Stanley, and Caroline-Dwane Stanley have come in to the Portlaoise count centre with a lot to say about Sinn Fein.
The Independent Republican, who is set to be re-elected after a campaign beset by controversy after his acrimonious departure from the party of an internal investigation.

The Portlaoise rep has told Midlands 103 that Sinn Fein members in Laois have set-up a "toxic" Whatsapp group - where one member of the party wished Brian Stanley would die.
She says she is seeking answer over this and other issues relating to his departure from Sinn Fein.
She won't be leaving the party as things stand - in her words, she won't be "bullied out by anyone".
