The voter turnout figures are coming through this afternoon, as people take to the polls across the midlands.
In Laois, there's a higher turnout of voters in more rural areas, while some people are only opting to cast their vote in the Local Elections.
Rathdowney is seeing the largest number of voters in the county, as of this afternoon.
In Offaly, 14% of the register have turned out to cast a vote in the Ferbane urban ballot box, while rural Edenderry is seeing 8.5%, as of midday.
Statistics are yet to be revealed in Westmeath.
