TUS Athlone Win Funding For Research Equipment

The university will be using the funding to assist in their development of 'applied polymer technologies'.

TUS Athlone has won access to a funding pot worth €12m for state of the art research equipment.

The midlands institution's Smart Sustainability Manufacturing Suite project will now have access to equipment for the development of 'applied polymer technologies'.

Of 24 eligible applications reviewed, 10 have been approved for funding totaling €12.1m

Minister for Enterprise, and Longford Westmeath TD Peter Burke says the funding will "strengthen the Midlands as a centre for cutting-edge innovation."
