Access issues faced by people with disabilities around the midlands will be highlighted this week.
Groups will take part in walks around the region on Friday, aiming to identify what works well and what can be done to make leisure areas more accessible.
The initiative forms part of the Make Way Day campaign.
Laois County Council is asking people around the county to gather in the People's Park in Portlaoise from 11am on Friday, while there are also events around Offaly and Westmeath.
Healthy Laois Co-Ordinator, Emma O'Connor, says the initiative has been eye-opening:
