Westmeath Among Lowest Rated Counties For Recycling Organic Waste

Just under 20% of people in the county have an organic bin, according to a new report.

Westmeath is one of the poorest performing counties in Ireland for organic waste recycling.

The EPA's latest report shows just 19% of people in the county have an organic bin.

The figure is 25% in Offaly, and 41% in Laois.

Cavan is the county with the least amount of 'brown bins' per resident at just 14%.
