Westmeath Businesses "Bullied" Into Accepting Roadworks Says Local Shop Owner

Works will be carried out in the town during the Christmas period.

Westmeath business owners are claiming they feel 'bullied' into accepting roadworks during their busiest period of the year.

The County Council are carrying out street works in Kinnegad as part of the planned library and education centre for the town - that will run throughout December into January.

Willie Forde owns the Eurospar in Kinnegad, and he says concerns are being voiced with the council that local businesses will be affected.
