Westmeath Irish Water Customers To Face Further Restrictions

Sunday, 15 September 2019 08:00

It's to allow the water levels in Annagh Reservoir to recover.

Further overnight water restrictions will be in place in Athlone this Sunday.

Customers on the east side of the town will be affected by the stoppage from 10 o'clock on Sunday night until 6 o'clock Monday morning.

It follows a series of similar overnight restrictions in Athlone this week.

Irish Water and Westmeath County Council says it's to allow the water levels in Annagh Reservoir to recover, before essential maintenance in the Athlone Water Treatment Plant.
