Nearly 300,000 people made a trip to Westmeath Libraries last year.
Westmeath Libraries has revealed the most borrowed books of 2024.
Duffy and Son by Damien Owens was the most popular for adults, while 'A Good Girl's Guide to Murder' by Holly Jackson was the top book of choice for young adults.
20,000 came during the 'My Open Library scheme' which allows people to borrow and return books outside of staffed hours.
Around 138,000 physical items were issued last year with over 217,000 items borrowed online - 28,755 of these being audiobooks.
Over 20,000 people attended over 1,600 events including the 'Well Westmeath' talks and the 'Sustainable Horizions' workshop.
