Lí Ban will begin airing next Tuesday.
A Westmeath man is one of the minds behind the first ever Irish language, Celtic inspired anime show.
Delvin's Craig Fish worked as an animation director on 'Lí Ban' which is set to start airing on Cúla4 from next Tuesday.
It tells the story of 12 year old Lí Ban as she is transformed into a mermaid and must travel through many ancient Celtic tales in search of answers on her journey.
The show will feature 13 episodes, each 11 minutes long, and is tailored for 7-9 year olds.
It will also air on S4C in the Welsh language.
Siobhán Ní Bhrádaigh, Commissioning Editor for Young People at Cúla4 & TG4 says: "There’s no doubt that our viewers will be captivated by Lí Ban and Con as they dive into timeless tales and navigate the mysteries of the Celtic seas".
