Westmeath Pharmacist Says New Weight Loss Drugs Must Be Effective

Wegovy has entered the Irish market this week.

A Westmeath pharmacist thinks there's no difference between most of the weight loss drugs on the market.

The popular drug Wegovy is entering the domestic market on a prescription only basis from doctors and pharmacies.

It's delivered as a weekly injection to curb people's appetites and make them feel full.

There's been some intial teething problems with the drug as it's not yet available on the HSE'S community drug scheme.
