A petition advocating for government funding to fix a "death trap" junction near a school in Westmeath has reached over 300 signatures.
The junction on the way into Clonmellon meets with pedestrian crossings on the Kilskyre and Kilallon roads.
A meeting will be held tonight at 6:30pm in Clonmellon National School to present the petition and a letter to local councilors Niall Gaffney and David Jones.
Representatives from the school's Parents Association and the Active Retirement Group will also attend.
