A Longford/Westmeath TD says Irish Water is not providing a service to people.
Fianna Fail's Robert Troy is making the comments after the ulitity said it will will take up to three years to upgrade a water facility in Athlone, which is struggling to keep up with demand.
The town has been hit with frequent water restrictions in recent months.
Speaking to Tánaiste Simon Coveney in the Dáil, Deputy Troy demanded to know how water schemes are prioritised:
