It's warning supply to households in Rathowen, Ballinalack, Bunbrosna, Streete, Fearmore, Boherquill, Lismacaffrey, could be impacted by the incident.
The fault is expected to be restored this afternoon, however, Uisce Éireann is advising customers it may take two or three hours before supply returns to a normal state.
Separately, the body is investigating a potential disruption to supply in Daingean and surrounding areas, with more information to follow on that.
