Westmeath has been hit with two tragedies in the last week.
A young Westmeath man who died in a tragic accident last weekend is being laid to rest today.
23 year old Ryan Briody was fatally injured when a car he was working on fell from its supports in a field in Coralstown on Friday.
He's survived by his parents Breda and Sean and sister Shaunna.
Funeral mass - for family and friends - is being held in the Church of St. John the Baptist, Whitehall at 12 noon today, with burial afterwards in the adjoining cemetery.
