The region saw a one percent drop in the number of net jobs in 2023, with 25 thousand people employed in Enterprise Ireland-supported businesses.
Every other region in the country saw an increase in net jobs, with the West and North-East seeing the largest growth, at five percent respectively.
Nearly seven in ten new jobs created by supported companies were based outside of Dublin.

The volume of retail sales was up by 0.8% overall, according to the Central Statistics Office.
