The midlanders play their Cup opener next month.

Athlone Town will begin their FAI Cup campaign with a home game against Ringmahon Rangers.

The midlanders departed the competition at the first round stage last year after being drawn against Premier Division heavyweights, Derry City.

Meanwhile, the Munster Senior League side were beaten by Kerry in their first round.

The game is slated to take place on the weekend of July 21st.

There's a number of high profile all-Premier Division meetings including a Dublin derby between Bohemians and Shamrock Rovers, A Louth derby with Dundalk and Drogheda, and a meeting between Derry and St Patrick's Athletic.

In the women' cup draw Athlone receive a by after winning the competition last year.

The headline fixture there is without doubt Galway United against Shelbourne.

This week, Town's scheduled League of Ireland First Division fixture against Wexford tomorrow evening has been postponed.

The League of Ireland are confirming the game is off due to international call ups.

A new date for the game is yet to be announced.

After beating league leaders Cork City last Friday, Athlone drew 1-1 away to Finn Harps.

Three players from the squad have been selected in the League of Ireland First Division Team of the Week.

Elsewhere in the league, Cobh are at home to Finn Harps, Longford travel to Cork City, Treaty United play Bray, and UCD take on Kerry in Belfield.
