Athlone Town Suffer Heavy Defeat At Home To Bray Wanderers

Ian Ryan is still waiting for his first win as manager.

Athlone Town's winless league run continues after they suffered a 4-0 defeat at home to Bray Wanderers at the weekend. 

Conor Knight and Cian Curtis made it 2-0 within the first 30 minutes, before two second goals in the sapce of seven minutes from Billy O'Neill and Killian Cantwell sealed Town's faith. 

It's now seven games without a win for the midland side who remain bottom of the First Division, six points off ninth place Longford Town. 

They return to action away to Cork side Cobh Ramblers on Friday night. 

The club have also confirmed the departures of three more senior players from their squad. 

Brian Torre, Matthew Leal, and Agbo Babatunde will all depart the club.
