Cup final wins in dramatic day at the Aviva
For the first time in 32 years, Shamrock Rovers are FAI Cup champions.
The Hoops defeated League champions Dundalk 4-2 on penalties at the Aviva Stadium after the match finished 1-1 after extra time.
Aaron McEneff looked to have won it in normal time for Rovers when he despatched a penalty, before Michael Duffy equalised for Dundalk with the last kick of the game.
But the Hoops recovered in the shoot out, and Gary O'Neill converted the winning spot kick.
Wexford Youths won the women's final, edging Peamount United by 3 goals to 2.
Wexford captain Kylie Murphy scored the winning goal.
