A tricky season hit another bump for Buccaneers last weekend.
Buccaneers suffered a shutout, and a sixth defeat in eight AIL games on Saturday.
The Athlone club were scoreless against Garryowen when the Limerick side were reduced to 14 men.
However it was Garryowen that struck for two tries in four minutes for a 14 point lead they were never to relinquish.
The scores came from Kelvin Langan, and Kyle Reid, while it was Buccs' Cathal Walsh who won Player of the Match.
That defeat leaves Buccaneers bottom of the Division 1B standings, four points off Queens who sit in ninth.
