The 2019 Open Champion is closing in on a top ten finish.

Shane Lowry resumes his Fed-Ex Cup finale from five under par this evening.

The Clara golfer carded a two under par round of 69 after round of three birdies and one bogey.

Scottie Scheffler made a big move towards winning his first FedEx Cup with a near flawless 65.

The two time Masters champion bogeyed the first and followed that up with seven birdies.

He now sits seven shots clear of the chasing pack led by Colin Morikawa and Xander Schauffele.

Rory McIlroy meanwhile matched Lowry with a 69 and he sits a shot ahead of the Offaly man.

Lowry is back on course just before 5.30pm, with McIlroy following at 5.49pm.
