Division One Proving Too Hot For Midlands Counties

Offaly enjoyed another win in division 2A.

Laois missed out on the chance to secure their Division 1B Allianz Hurling league status in Belfast yesterday.

WIllie Maher's men lost to Antrim on a scoreline of 3-18 to 1-18 in Corrigan Park.

Westmeath were comfortably beaten by All Ireland Champions Limerick in Division 1A in TEG Cusack Park where it finished 1-27 to 1-15.

Both Westmeath and Laois will meet in a relegation play off after the last round of league fixtures this weekend.

On Saturday, Offaly won their fourth consectuive match in division 2A with a 1-19 to 1-12 win over Carlow in Tullamore.
