Good start for Eddie Kinsella's side not enough
After a good start, Laois U20 footballers were overpowered by an impressive Dublin side in the Eirgrid Leinster final at Netwatch Dr Cullen Park on Friday night.
Eddie Kinsella's men led by three points after 10 minutes but with Liam Swan, Kieran McKeon and Ciaran Archer almost unmarkable in the Dubs attack, the fortunes swung back towards the pre-match favourites and by half time it was Dublin 0-11 Laois 0-5.
Ronan Coffey and goalkeeper Matthew Byron kicked some great points from dead balls but a return of only 0-3 from play cost the O'Moore County.
There was a glimmer of hope for Laois in the 56th minute when they were awarded a penalty but Mark Barry drove the spot kick wide of the post and Dublin went on to score the final three points of the game without reply after that.
