European Super League On Verge Of Collapse

The Super League looks set to collapse before ever really beginning 

Reports say all twelve clubs are meeting tonight to discuss disbanding the venture. 

Chelsea, Manchester City and Atletico Madrid have all made it clear that they want out of the breakaway league. 

Hundreds of Chelsea fans gathered in protest outside Stamford Bridge this evening ahead of their Premier League meeting with Brighton. 

Manchester United vice-chairman Ed Woodward has resigned claiming he is bringing forward an imminent summer departure. 

An announcement is expected to the New York Stock Exchange tonight. 

Elsewhere Real Madrid president Florentino Perez and Juventus Chief Andrea Agnelli are also reportedly under increasing pressure over the failed plans. 

It all began to unravel around 5:30 when Manchester City and Chelsea signalled their intention to pull out of the competition.
