It could be uniquely successful weekend for Westmeath football.

Garrycastle could be part of a unique weekend for Westmeath football.

This year's intermediate county champions take on Naomh Mearnog in the Leinster intermediate semi-finals in Dublin on Saturday.

The Westmeath club were narrow winners over Fenagh in round of one of the provincial championship, before running out convincing winners against Clonbullogue in the quarter-finals.

With St Loman's playing for a place in the senior Leinster final, Midlands 103 Analyst Gerry Buckley says he's hopeful for a double success:

Throw in at Parnell Park is set for 1.30pm on Saturday.
