Stenson believes LIV Golf accommodations should allow him keep Ryder Cup position.
Henrik Stenson says he disagrees with the decision to strip him of the Ryder Cup captaincy, but adds it’s one he has to accept.
The Swede has confirmed he has signed up to the Saudi-funded LIV Golf series, and will play his first event with them next week.
Stenson says arrangements were in place from LIV to allow him continue as captain, while Ryder Cup Europe claim he was no longer able to fulfil contractual obligations.
His predecessor Padraig Harrington believes it’s time golf’s major stakeholders put their heads together.
