If successful, it'll be the first of it's kind in the UK and Ireland.
It's hoped the development of a centre of excellence in the midlands will help the growth of the sport in the region.
A decision is due on the ambitious plans proposed by Snooker and Billiards Ireland on the Portlaoise Road just outside Graiguecullen on April 4th.
They include eight full size tables and a small size arena which will all be accessible for those with disabilities.
