Laois And Offaly On The Road For Allianz Leagues Openers

Westmeath will welcome Cavan to Mullingar at the end of January.

Two of the three midlands counties have away day openers in the Allianz Football Leagues at the end of January.

In Division Three, Tailteann Cup Champions, Westmeath will start their division three campaign at TEG Cusack Park against Cavan while Offaly are on the road to Belfast to take on Antrim.

In Division Four, Laois head to Markievicz Park to take on Sligo.

All three games will take place on Sunday, January 29th.

The meeting of Connacht rivals Galway and Mayo is one of the big games on the opening weekend.

All-Ireland champions Kerry are set to begin the defence of their Division One crown away to Donegal on January 29th. 

In hurling, Limerick will face Cork in the opening fixture of their Division 1A campaign on Saturday, February 4th.

The GAA confirmed the Master Fixture plan for 2023 earlier today. 

The All-Ireland Hurling final will take place on the 23rd of July, with the football decider the week after.
