Laois Ladies Relishing Senior Championship Challenge

Portlaoise's Grainne Moran looks forward to the O'Moore County's championship opener.

The All Ireland Intermediate Championship campaign starts for the Laois Ladies Footballers on Sunday.

Stephen Duff's O'Moore County footballers are facing a stern test with another season in the senior championship.

Laois were relegated to Division Three of the National League after picking up just one draw under the joint-management team of Tommy Deveraux and Billy Kiernan.

The pair departed to be replaced by former Portlaoise manager Stephen Duff.

While results proved hard to come by in the Leinster Senior Championship, performances improved.

The 2022 Intermediate All Ireland winners face Cork in their opening game, followed by a meeting with the Connacht Champions Galway.

Portlaoise forward Grainne Moran says they're relishing the challenge of playing on the biggest stage.

She looks forward to the All Ireland series with Midlands 103's David Hollywood:
