LOI: Town Resume Promotion Battle At Home To Bray

Athlone are well position in the promotion play-off spots with nine league games remaining.

Athlone Town return to League of Ireland duty this week after claiming the scalp of Premier Division outfit Waterford in the FAI Cup last time out.

The midlanders are playing host to promotion rivals Bray in Lissywollen tomorrow evening.

Dario Castelo's side lost their first game in seven in their last First Division outing after a 3-2 defeat to Wexford.

Bray meanwhile were beaten 1-0 by UCD in their last league game.

The Wicklow side shaded the last two meetings between the clubs by a single goal when they met at the Carlisle Grounds in June.

Elsewhere, there's a rebel derby with long time league leaders Cork City travelling to Cobh Ramblers, Treaty United host Wexford, Finn Harps are at UCD.

All those games kick off at 7.45pm while Longford play Kerry at 7.30pm.
