He's joined in the field by Rory McIlroy and Seamus Power.
Rory McIlroy is confident he can challenge at the Players Championship when it gets underway this afternoon.
The Northern Irishman won the PGA Tour's flagship event in 2019.
But the defence of his title was ended with a seven over par 79 in the first round last year.

However, day one has been delayed due to inclement weather.
All tees times have been pushed back by an hour at Sawgrass with thunderstorms in the area.
Shane Lowry will now tee off at around 2.30pm Irish time, with Rory McIlroy and Seamus Power both out on course this evening.
