The 2019 Open Champion was glued to his hotel tv on Saturday for the All Ireland Under 20 Final.

Shane Lowry says he was sitting in his hotel room in Canada with his Offaly jersey on roaring on the Faithful County as they stormed to an All Ireland Under 20 title in Kilkenny.

One of Offaly's most famous sons, Lowry is likely the county's highest profile GAA fan.

The Clara man shot a solid 68 three days in a row at the RBC Canadian Open to finish in a tie for 33rd after a poor first round.

Lowry returns to action on the PGA Tour for the Memorial Tournament this week before playing the US Open at Pinehurst next week.

He tells Oisin Langan Faithful fans deserve it:

Shane Lowry was speaking with thanks to The R & A, who have announced the ticket ballot for The 153rd Open at Royal Portrush will open from 1-31 July 2024, exclusively for members of One Club, the free-to-join digital membership programme. Fans can sign up to the One Club via oneclub.golf
