The pre-season provincial warm-up tournament was beset by fixture cancellations due to a clash with college football and hurling and a build-up of injuries within a number of Leinster counties.
Offaly GAA cited medical and player welfare advice which led to them applying, through Leinster and after that Louth, for a postponement of the game.
