A busy first half of scoring was followed by a tight second half contest on Sunday.
Offaly had to make do with a share of the spoils after their Lidl National Football League opener over the weekend.
Sligo were the visiting opposition on Sunday as both sides played out a 1-8 to 1-8 draw at Ferbane GAA.
Both sides went score for score throughout the contest, with Ciara Walsh's opening goal for Offaly immediately cancelled out by Aishling Molloy just before half time.
Only a handful of points were tacked on by both sides after the break, Walsh top scored for Offaly with 1-1 while Tara Breheny landed three points for Sligo.
