Offaly Flanker Gets Emerging Ireland Call Up While Mullingar Woman Is added To WXV Squad

Cormac Izuchukwu and Katie Heffernan got the calls they were hoping for this week.

Offaly and Ulster flanker Cormac Izuchukwu has been included the Emerging Ireland squad on their upcoming three-match tour to South Africa.

Head coach Simon Easterby has chosen a squad of 33 players.

Ireland's start on October the 2nd against the Pumas before facing Super Rugby outfit Western Force four days later.

Ireland head coach Scott Bemand has included four uncapped players in his 30-player squad for the upcoming WXV campaign in Vancouver.

Mullingar's Katie Heffernan, Sophie Barrett, Catriona Finn, and Andrea Stock have all been selected.

Christy Haney, however, misses out due to injury.

Clara's Aoife Dalton is also in the travelling squad after her try-scoring performance against Australia over the weekend.
