Offaly Win, Laois Lose In NFL

U-20 Midlands Derby re-fixed for tonight.

Offaly and Laois were in action in re-fixed Allianz Football League games over the weekend with mixed results.

Offaly withstood a second -half comeback from Louth to record a three point win in Drogheda.

John Maughan's men led by 2-7 to 0-3 at half-time but ended up winning by three points 2-13 to 2-10.

At MW Hire O'Moore Park Laois footballers were well beaten by Cavan 3-10 to 1-6 in Division Two.

In the Eirgrid Leinster U-20 Football quarter-finals Offaly went down to Louth on Saturday by 1-7 to 0-9.

The game between Laois and Westmeath was postponed and will now go ahead tonight (Monday) in MW Hire O'Moore Park in Portlaoise at half past 7.
