Offaly's Best Young Players Need & Deserve Rest - John Leahy

It's been a year of non-stop competition for players like Adam Screeney.

Offaly GAA will have to watch the workload for its brightest stars, according to one of the county's former minor hurling managers.

Many of Offaly's best young players have been involved in inter-county action at both senior and under 20 level until the middle of the summer.

Kilcormac-Killoughey players then had an extensive championship campaign that saw them play from July through to last weekend in the Leinster final.

Ex-Offaly minor hurling manager John Leahy says its the way of the modern game for the best players:
