The St Abban's athlete jumped her best at the last.
There was success for midlands athletes at the National track and field championships over the weekend.
St Abban's AC's Saragh Buggy claimed gold in the Senior Women Triple Jump and silver in Senior Women Long Jump, while Daena Kealy finished second in the Senior Women High Jump.
Buggy opened with a jump (12.71m) that would have been good enough to secure gold in the Triple Jump, however she managed to exceed that with her last leap of 13.03m
Mark Milner from Tullamore Harriers raced to a bronze medal in the men's 800m race, while Barry Mooney recorded a new 5000m PB of 16:31.77.
Meanwhile the Tullamore Harriers 4 x 100m team consisting of Billy Corrigan, Dean Power, Emmanuel Ilori, and Kush Dolapo,
secured bronze medals and finished with a time of 42.10 seconds.
Elsewhere many of the headlines were grabbed by Sarah Healy and Sophie O'Sullivan who were pitched against each other once again after finishing first and second at the European Under 23 Championships in Finland.
O'Sullivan on that occasion won out, but it was Healy who had the kick at the finish to claim national honours.
A tactical race from the start, Sarah Healy (UCD) digs deep to hang on to win the Women’s 1500m National Senior Title from O’Sullivan 🔥
