Despite Wexford's position they've only been losing narrowly to the likes of Shelbourne, Cabinteely, Treaty United and Cobh.
Their recent meetings have been very entertaining, producing 20 goals in the last five games with two wins for Athlone, one for Wexford and two draws in that time.
