Kilkenny captured their 58th title.
Offaly's search for a first Leinster title since 2000 continues after a first half blitz sent the trophy back to Kilkenny for the 58th time.
There's no discredit in the faithful's first half display as their opponents were incredibly efficient in racking up their 2-13 first half score .
By comparison Offaly were struggling to trouble the scoreboard. Lochlann Quinn was his trademark self with the placed ball but the usual vigour of Cormac Egan and the inside forward line was notably absent.
That in part was mostly down to an immaculate performance from every area of the field from the cats.

Offaly second best today, but the lads battled hard throughout. Thanks to the players & mentors who put in a huge effort during the long campaign
Best wishes to Kilkenny in All-Ireland final
The second half was much improved from a faithful perspective.
Quinn, Luke Carey and Lee Hogan raised a green flag each and as a whole the team attacked their personal battles much more physically but ultimately they've left themselves far too much to do after a slow start.
2-21 to 3-9 the final score and manager Leo O'Connor will undoubtedly feel that they didn't give their showing but it's still been a hugely successful year for this group of players and they can attack this years championship at minor and u-20 level in great fettle.
Offaly scorers:
Lochlann Quinn 1-6 (4f, 2 65s), Luke Carey 1-1, Lee Hogan 1-0, Daniel Bourke, Adam Landy both 0-1.
