They've released a statement regarding the Camogie Association's decision.
There's widespread anger building towards the Camogie Association's decision to cancel the 2020 Leinster and All-Ireland Club Championships.
Rynaghs were due to compete in the Intermediate competition and have joined six senior clubs (Loughiel, Drom and Inch, Thomastown, Inagh Kilnamona, Sarsfields and Oulart- The Ballagh) in releasing a statement calling for the games to proceed.
Players across all clubs have been preparing to play in these prestigious competitions since the end of their shortened 2020 season and it's very hard for them to imagine all that preparation and training individually has been for nought.
St. Rynagh's Camogie put out this statement on their social media channels last night:

Hand signed by the entire panel, it adds to the emotional nature of the appeal.
The reaction in Offaly and the wider area has been immediate and here is a flavour of what's being said:
Extremely hard and frustrating as a club player this week. #Findadate @OfficialCamogie https://t.co/uptfosyNsE

A strong united message from the St Rynaghs camogie camp, one that you couldn't but feel for along with the other teams involved. Kills the spirit of being promised one thing and another happening. https://t.co/ifKLZGJlk1

All we want is to go out and play the game we live in the jersey we love for the club we love! We have worked so hard and have been looking forward to this for so long to bring life back to our parish after a difficult year, unfortunately @OfficialCamogie don’t see it that way https://t.co/dCR5N22eX6

I don't usually comment on issues relating to fixtures but this time I feel for all players that is in the same position as the St Rynaghs camogie club.I believe that the Camogie Association should meet with the clubs and work out fixtures to facilitate the competition

This is an absolute no-brainer. It’s time the Camogie Association used some common sense - everything doesn’t need to be a battle. Inter-county managers will surely happily facilitate provincials and All-Ireland club series at the start of June. Players just want to compete. https://t.co/qEouyJVnfo

The response across all forms of social media has been huge and the pressure is now on the powers at be within the association to respond.
The Camogie leagues are underway as this is written but until this wider issue is resolved they will be but a sideshow to the real issues affecting the game at grassroots level.
The game needs eyeballs and coverage on it's games and players not on it's delegates and the Camogie Association overall. Until that happens the disconnect between players and governing body will only continue to grow.
