Athlone Town secured a 3-1 win over Peamount United over the weekend.
Athlone Town struck a potentially important blow in this year's race for the Women's Premier Division title over the weekend.
Defending champions, Peamount United were in the midlands on Saturday evening to take on Ciaran Kilduff's FAI Cup winners.
Despite conceding a first half penalty, Town dominated the game with Casey Howe making a telling contribution up front.
The former Glentoran and Sligo Rovers striker scored two and set up Madison Gibson for another.
Was it ever in doubt? 😅
