Westmeath Fall To Second Defeat In All Ireland Intermediate Camogie Championship

Defeat leaves the Maroon sitting fourth in the Group One standings.

Westmeath suffered a second defeat in the All-Ireland Intermediate Camogie Championship at the weekend. 

Padraic Connaughton's side were beaten by Galway on a scoreline of 1-17 to 2-07 in Kenny Park, Athenry on Saturday. 

Megan Dowdall impressed for the Lake County with a tally of 2-04, while Aoibheann Barry finished with 1-11 for the Connacht team.

The Lake County remain fourth in Group One, as they welcome Clare to the midlands for round four this weekend.
