Westmeath's champions are having a difficult campaign.
A six point win was a touch flattering but victory was very much deserved against the defending county champions in Westmeath, according to Coralstown-Kinnegad manager, Jack Cooney.
Cooney watched his side run out 1-12 to 1-6 winners over The Downs at TEG Cusack Park on Saturday.
That result vaults Coralstown-Kinnegad to the top of the section A table of the Westmeath Senior Football Championship while The Downs are rooted to the bottom with just one point from three games.
Speaking to Gerry Russell, Cooney says his side picked their moments and scored when it counted:
Elsewhere St Loman's were comfortable winners in their latest championship outing.
The final score between themselves and Tyrrellspass was 1-15 to 0-9
