Frank Brown's team now face a fight to stay in Division 2.
Westmeath's status in Division two of the National Ladies Football League is under threat after a further defeat to Galway in Tuam last weekend.
The westerners dominated proceedings running out 1-14 to three point winners, to maintain their 100% record at the top of the table.
However, for the Lake County it's now three defeats and one draw from their four matches played and now face a battle to stay in the division.
Next up for Frank Brown's charges is a trip away to Tipperary on Sunday.
