The vote will take place on Saturday week.
The Gaelic Players Association has contacted GAA County Board secretaries and chairpersons urging them to back Proposal B to revamp the Football Championship at Special Congress.
A 60 percent vote by delegates on Saturday week is required for passage of the proposal, which would herald a new League Championship structure in the summer.
Westmeath are the latest county to lend their support to proposal B, which Offaly chairman Michael Duignan publicly put his weight behind yesterday.
Here's what proposal B entails:
- League based championship with each team playing seven games.
- Preliminary All-Ireland qualifers will be 2nd +3rd in division two vs winners of division three + four.
- Quarter-finals will then be top 4 from division one vs 5th in division one, division two winners and winners of above preliminaries.
- Teams that don't qualify for the All-Ireland Series from division three + four enter the Tailteann Cup.
- Provincial Championships retained but as preseason competitions.
